Using nature as our sacred text, we will find creative expression in writing haiku inspired by the steps of lectio divina:

  • Listening with the heart
  • Opening to unfolding creation
  • Responding in love
  • Resting in silence

Our responses to unfolding creation will be shaped in the form of haiku, brief poems that capture the heart of a moment. Participants have the opportunity to write haiku individually, as well as in linked verse with others, making a circle of creative communion.

No poetry writing experience needed to have fun writing haiku at this retreat.
