The New Courtyard – Coming Together in One Place

The Winding Road

The Winding Road

I’m happy and excited to share with you the new, improved In the Courtyard, my web site devoted to creative attention to everyday life.

After months of planning and hard work, the various pieces of the Courtyard have come together in one unified space.

Our site transformation has 3 goals:

  • To make the Courtyard’s ever-growing repository of reflections, prayers and poetry more accessible to our readers.
  • To better engage readers in conversation around core practices of creative attention to everyday life.
  • To improve access to classes, services, and other offerings from Margaret in the Courtyard.

A note to blog “followers”

I’m glad to say all blog followers of Margaret’s Bench or Lectio+Haiku have been migrated to the new Courtyard. If you were a follower of either blog in the old Courtyard, you don’t need to do anything. You are now following In the Courtyard  and will be notified when we make a new posting. Hurray!

However, if you were following the comment stream of a particular posting, that following was lost in the translation, and you will need to turn it on again yourself. To follow the comments on any posting, go to the bottom of that posting’s page and check the box that says “Notify me of follow-up comments in email.” It’s below the Comment box. Then make a new comment, so we have your email address. (Your email address will not be displayed or shared.)

Still the Courtyard

The Courtyard remains a reservoir of reflections, prayers, and poetry that spring from practices of mindfulness and attention. You’ll also find here books, classes, retreats, and other services that support mindful practices leading to authentic life.

I hope that you like the Courtyard’s new look and feel. Stroll around and explore the nooks and crannies. Feel free to comment on what you find.

With best wishes for the road ahead,
